EILIDH FYFE 


Eilidh won the 2023 Dan Hemingway Short Story Prize for Bark Like A God.

Eilidh is a 4th year student from the Highlands studying English and Modern History at St Andrews. Bark like a God draws upon themes of religion and abandonment in rural Scotland. 

Eilidh is particularly invested in writing pieces which represent the experience of growing up in the Highlands. She enjoys combining poetry and prose in her work.

Eilidh hopes to continue writing as a career, being particularly interested in publishing a novel and creating screenplays and scripts for theatre. 

The 2023 judges were John Burnside, Dina Nayeri, Karen Solie and Sue Hemingway.
