Emily Caulton
Emily Caulton graduated in 2017 at the University of St Andrews with a degree in English.
She won the 2015 Dan Hemingway Short Story Prize for ‘Christopher's Condition’. The inspiration for the story came from her own experience in hospital in the summer of 2014, when at the age of nineteen she underwent an operation to remove an enormous tumour that luckily for her was only borderline cancerous.
The 2015 judges were John Burnside, Reif Larsen, Ruth Thomas and Sue Hemingway.
