Sarah Crawford

Originally from Texas, Sarah Crawford is currently a third year student in English and Comparative Literature at the University of St. Andrews. She won the 2018 Short Story Prize for Acorn Jesus, a partly fictionalised account of her relationship with her great-grandmother.

Sarah writes poetry as well, and in 2016 her poem Iron Rose was published in the fall issue of Persephone's Daughters. She hopes to continue to develop her writing, and plans to pursue her master's after graduating from St. Andrews.

The 2018 judges were John Burnside, Matthew Caley, Oli Hazzard and Sue Hemingway.
