Will Wiles

Will Wiles won the Dan Hemingway Creativity Prize in 1995 with a science fiction short story about an archaeological dig. After studying history at Cambridge, he went on to develop a successful career in magazine journalism.

Will's ambition was always to become a full time writer, and in 2012 HarperPress published Care of Wooden Floors, Will’s debut novel that he dedicated to Dan Hemingway. His second novel The Way Inn was published by HarperCollins in 2014.

Until June 2012 he was deputy editor of Icon, a monthly architecture and design magazine, and Will continues to work as a freelance writer and contributing editor for several leading magazines.

Care of Wooden Floors is a black comedy about a flat-sitter whose good intentions lead to disaster. The novel has been serialised by BBC Book at Bedtime and shortlisted for several book awards.
